Escalation is interested in the poetic in expanded practices -sound, performance, and site-specific—, as well as what emerges from constant interaction with the space, whether it is Condeduque’s building or the urban environment. The works of Nat Raha, Elliot Reed and Anto López Espinosa approach the spatial context at a historical, symbolic and architectural level - its conflicts, echoes, vibrations, voids, changes of scale...— emphasizing the sensory and immediate, as well as proposing analysis and exercises from amateur sociology.

Nat Raha's recitals are a cacophony of memories in which sounds from the cities we inhabit and the elements we consume in contemporary societies creep in. A simple reverb device allows her to play with different intensities of tone and a radical use of punctuation in order to think about the ways in which the public sphere can be navigated. With voice, sonic, bodily, and architectural languages, Elliott Reed addresses absence, loss, and mourning, using Condeduque's installations and specific spatiality. To disrupt the fluidity of the various sensorial scales that make up a context, Anto López Espinosa deploys drag and lip-sync as a strategy to manipulate the interaction between visual and acoustic expectations.
